Museum Knowledge Exchange Programme: Morocco - Netherlands

This unique collaboration between Morocco and the Netherlands was organised by the Reinwardt Academy, the Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands, the Dutch Embassy in Rabat and DutchCulture. The museums are united under the umbrella of La Fondation Nationale des Musées du Maroc (FNM); the Moroccan national foundation of Museums aims to preserve Morocco's history and plural identity.







Care & Resilience: Ukrainian Museums in Times of War

DutchCulture welcomed seven outstanding museum professionals from Ukraine for a one-week visit to the Netherlands in February 2023. They have asked the participants - directors of various museums and heritage protection networks - to share their stories with and have their voices heard by the Dutch cultural sector.






Country Focus: South Korea

In an interactive and varied programme, artists and curators from South Korea and the Netherlands came together in November 2022. It was an excellent opportunity for artists and cultural professionals to present and reflect on their collaborative projects and exchange experiences between the two countries. Under the overarching theme of Inclusion & Innovation, these multidisciplinary projects are jointly supported by Arts Council Korea (ARKO) and DutchCulture through the 2021-2022 partnership framework.







FAIR P(L)AY #2: Who pays the bill?

On #EuropeDay23 DutchCulture organised a break-out session as part of the 2nd edition FAIR P(L)AY, organised by EUNIC Netherlands. This edition focused on young and emerging artists.

FAIR P(L)AY is about fair practice in the cultural sector and aims to discuss and implement new and existing ways of creating fair environments in terms of funding, remuneration, copyright and mobility in Europe.

Taking place at Nieuwe Instituut in Rotterdam, the event had multiple sessions consisting of workshops and panel discussions.




Country Focus: Türkiye 

In September, nine Turkish cultural professionals visited the Netherlands in the interest of the Spaces of Culture Mobility Program. In a week full of site visits and diverse programming, they reflected on the accessibility and role of the arts and cultural institutions in community and network building within in the Dutch cultural sector.
